VF. This note is a genuine remainder note that was fraudulently issued with bogus signatures, and without the Treasury seal that is supposed to appear on the face of the note. Martin & Latimer speculate (on page 13 of their work on Georgia treasury notes) that notes like this one were captured remainders that were fraudulently issued by Union troops.
